For the past six years, Steven Stites has personally handled perhaps the busiest caseload of any New York traffic attorney. He cares about his clients, and they appreciate that he is responsive and understanding. On a daily basis, Steve meets with dozens of clients and fights hundreds of traffic tickets. His clients are rewarded with results that, in many cases, are second to none in the world of New York traffic law, as well as a high level of service to match.
Steve founded Stites Legal in early 2018 after working full-time as a traffic court attorney since 2014.

Prior to Traffic Law
Before entering traffic law, Steve worked in politics and government. He served as a senior aide to a New York City Council Member and a New York State Senator and advised numerous campaigns and organizations on political strategy, communications, and government affairs. In 2012, Steve was named one of City Hall’s “Forty Under Forty” Rising Stars of New York politics.
Steve’s legal interests include consumer protection matters. He co-wrote an article, “Merchant-Authorized Consumer Cash Substitutes,” which was published in the fall 2019 issue of the Virginia Law & Business Review.
Personal Life
When he isn’t running one of New York’s largest traffic law firms, Steve is a man of many hats. He is an “elite” level racquetball player, currently ranked #20 in the state of Connecticut. He has finished two novels and dabbles in poetry, palindromes, and comedy writing. He enjoys French food, Scotch, and brewing his own coffee. Steve also spends an embarrassing amount of time fretting over his dynasty fantasy baseball teams. He is an amateur crossword enthusiast, but will dominate you at Scrabble (2100 rating).
